# Claude Desktop

> Connect Hive to Claude Desktop through Settings, Connectors.

## Add the connector

1. Open Claude Desktop and go to **Settings > Connectors**.

2. Choose to add a custom connector.

3. Paste the endpoint:

   ```
   https://mcp.hiveintelligence.xyz/mcp
   ```

4. Approve the connection when Claude opens your browser.

Claude Desktop stores the credential itself. Nothing goes in a config file by hand.

## Verify

Start a new conversation and ask:

> What is the current price of Bitcoin? Use Hive.

If Claude answers with a provider name and a timestamp, the connector is live. If it answers
from memory with no source, the server did not load. Quit Claude Desktop fully and reopen it,
then check **Settings > Connectors** again.

## Refreshing the tool list

Claude caches the tool list per connection. After Hive ships new tools, disconnect and
reconnect the connector, or restart Claude Desktop, to pick them up.
